Hiroshi Kono Violin – 4/4 (Tokyo, 2017)
Made in Tokyo in 2017, this full-size Hiroshi Kono violin reflects the fine craftsmanship and tonal quality that have earned Kono instruments a strong reputation among advancing students and serious players. Built from well-seasoned spruce and maple, it is carefully finished for both beauty and durability.
At our shop, we’ve gone beyond the original factory setup to unlock the full potential of this violin. Our work includes a hand-fitted Aubert De Luxe bridge, a new nut, a newly fitted soundpost, and careful fingerboard planing. These improvements give the instrument greater tonal clarity, better response, and a more comfortable playing experience than the standard setup provides.
The result is a violin with a warm, resonant tone and excellent projection—well-suited for both ensemble and solo playing. Reliable and responsive, it offers the musical depth and playability that advancing students and dedicated players need to continue their growth.
