Kevin Wang Performs Beethoven's Fifth Piano Sonata in c minor, Op. 10 No. 1

Saturday, February 22 3 pm - 4 pm

Join pianist Kevin Wang for the next installment in his journey through Beethoven’s piano sonatas.

This concert features Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 5 in c minor, Op. 10 No. 1, a work that marks the composer’s shift to a more concise yet equally profound style.

Inspired by this transformation, Kevin has curated a program of three-movement works from across Europe, taking the audience on a musical journey from Clementi’s classical clarity to Prokofiev’s fiery modernism.

Following intermission, Kevin will give a talk on his programming choices, offering insight into how each piece connects to Beethoven’s sonata.
